Happiness
How does one find happiness? Where do you look? And once you find it, how do you hold on to it? I believe that happiness can be found within ourselves.
If you could grab a hold of your heart and open it up like thumbing through pages of a book, what would your pages say? What would the title on your book be? We are all books with many chapters. Some chapters are happy, joyous and uplifting while others are sad, lonely and filled with drama.
God wants all of us to obtain happiness. He wants our chapters to be filled with all the goodness that happiness brings. We are the writers of our own book. Though God wants us to include him in each and every story line, we ultimately are the ones that decide what is to be written.
You cannot rely on someone else for your happiness. If you can’t love and respect yourself, no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are the way God designed you. Look at the good and bad and make changes as you see fit. Pray on those areas for guidance where God can transform your heartache into joy.
Decide today how you want to live your life. Being happy doesn’t mean that your life is going to be perfect. It means you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections that come. Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success.
